Forward Option Pricing The Rights Holder Of A Book Is Willing To Let Me Option It For A Movie.........Now What???

The rights holder of a Book is willing to let me option it for a movie.........Now What??? - forward option pricing

Hello, I am saved, an independent filmmaker in New York, I have nothing, I have my team and I'm ready to shoot a short 20 minutes from Mars, that's why I made the effort "party now.

Here's the deal, it is a book that was published in 1981, is a true story of poltergeist cases in England. I am interested in adapting this book into a movie. I contacted the author, I sent the owner of the rights of the publishers do not know much about these things because he has never done, but I said that the price would be way to 1,000 pounds (U.S. $ 2,000). Until now, we are in a formal agreement at this moment is everything.

I am not a lawyer or anything (yet somehow) as a means to the attention of the manufacturer, can muster the resources to make the film be used? As they say that they worked the author in the first script?

I'm not so sure what to make of it. Ent. $ 30kA years lawyers are expensive, I do. Please help. Thank you.
